Day 01: Fayoum Sightseeing

Morning pick-up from your hotel in Cairo, via air-conditioned vehicle, to drive on the way to El Fayoum. El Fayoum is the largest oasis in Egypt, situated 90 km south- west of Cairo. El Fayoum is considered one of the governorates of North Egypt region. It is characterized by water wheels which make El Fayoum different from any other governorate. Start from the outpost of Wadi Al Rayan protected area. It is located on the middle of the Fayoum desert, about 140 Km from Cairo. It is now totally covered by two gigantic fresh water lakes, the two lakes have different altitudes, and therefore a waterfall was created where they meet. Then you will mount the Camels and ride uphill towards the spring area of Wadi Al Rayan home of specialized fauna, including the near-extinct slender-horned gazelles and small mammals. The camels will head north over dunes towards the shore of the second Wadi El Rayan Lake. You can enjoy the birds' watching or swimming or just soak in the awe-inspiring scenery and star-gaze then overnight.

Day 02: Fayoum Tour

After early breakfast, you will ride along the beach and over dunes towards the ford-like area. Then you will move up towards Gable Meshgiga, a stunning rock formation and landmark. Then you will be back to the asphalt road and drive back to Cairo.
